Privacy Policy

1. Your grades never reach us
This comes first because a site that asks for your scores owes you a direct answer about them. Every number you type into any calculator on Gradely — assignment names, scores, weights, credit hours, your GPA, your targets — is processed entirely inside your own browser by JavaScript running on your device. Nothing is transmitted to us, nothing is written to a server we operate, and we never receive it in any form.
You do not have to take that on trust. This is a set of static files with no backend to send data to. Open your browser's developer tools, switch to the network tab, and type into any calculator here: no request fires while you enter or change a grade.
2. Information we collect
None that identifies you. There is no account, no sign-up, no contact form and no field anywhere on this site that asks for your name, your email address, your school or any other identifying detail. If you choose to email us via the contact page, that message reaches an ordinary mailbox in the ordinary way and does not pass through this website.
3. Cookies and third-party advertising
This site may display third-party advertising, including Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies (such as the DoubleClick cookie) to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to users based on their visits to this site and/or other sites on the internet. You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info. Users in the EEA and UK may also be shown a consent prompt where required by law. These advertising cookies are set by the ad vendor and are entirely separate from the calculators — no grade, score, weight or result is available to them.
4. Analytics
We may use privacy-friendly, cookie-free aggregate analytics (for example Cloudflare Web Analytics) to count page views and see which calculators are useful. No personally identifying information is collected, and nothing you enter into a calculator — no score, weight, credit hour, GPA or result — is ever included in analytics data.
5. Local storage
The calculators save your rows in your browser's local storage so that your work is still there when you come back. This is storage on your own device, not a cookie sent to a server, and it is never read by us. Two keys are used: one for the grade calculator's rows and settings, and one for the GPA calculator's course list and grade-point table. The Reset button on each calculator deletes its key, and clearing site data in your browser removes both. If storage is unavailable — a private window, a strict browser setting, a full quota — every calculator still works; it simply forgets between visits.
6. Shareable links contain your data
The "copy shareable link" buttons encode your entries into the URL itself so that opening the link restores them. This happens in your browser and no copy is kept by us. It does mean that anyone who has the link can read the grades encoded in it — treat a link you post publicly as public, and send one privately if the numbers are private.
7. Affiliate disclosure
Some links on this site may be affiliate links, meaning we could earn a commission if you buy a product through them. That never changes the price you pay and never influences a calculation, a default value, or anything a page says a number means.
8. Your choices
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings and every calculator here keeps working, because none of their functionality depends on them. Using the site with an ad blocker is equally fine. This service is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
9. Results are arithmetic, not a grade
The output of these calculators is arithmetic performed on the numbers you supplied. It is not a prediction of your official grade, not a statement of any institution's policy, and not advice. Grading scales, category weights, rounding rules and GPA conventions are set by your school; the limits of what these tools can know are set out on the about page.
10. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the "last updated" date above changes with it. Material changes will be reflected on this page rather than announced separately.
11. Contact
Privacy questions can go through the contact page or directly to rlaejrtn16@gmail.com.
